The winter pike season is upon us and so I kicked off with a long day at a fairly local lake or should I say disused quarry. It is a very very deep lake and so most fishing for predators is done in the margins.I actually caught one pike on half a herring that I affectionately named Ben....coz he caught it when he was down and its been in my freezer waiting for the go .Apart from that the weather is shite .Gonna improve my pike kit today I think !!!
