For the last 4 summers I've been plonking about bass fishing and selling the dead bodies to the market which I accept doesn't sit well with a few people but its been my life for 40 years so hey ho !It is what it is I suppose. However it came to pass that Gary Smith an old face from the past had an urge to have a bash at breaming and bassing and brought his great mate John Farr with him and so my charter career was resurrected ....possibly.
I wasn't sure if I would take to it if I'm honest but working for 2 guys is a piece of cake in comparison to the old days of 12 drunken polish and I have to say I really enjoyed myself . To be fair John and Gary are good anglers and I wasn't under any pressure what so ever to produce and the few fish we managed to get aboard kept us all happy .
Best methods inshore are slow jigging and spinning but I'm getting more and more interested in fly fishing in the estuary and will be having another bash as soon as this wind pushes through.
Squid will be around from now so if anyone fancies a 3 squid trip let me know.
